Description
Bird’s Eye Rhyolite is named for its color formations in beautiful and naturally artistic spheres of radiating minerals. Colors may include deep reds, gray, cream, light tan to dark chocolate browns, yellow, burgundy, and pink – in a variety of combinations. Rhyolite was named “streaming rock” because of its beautiful band, bubbles and crystal-rich layers that form as lava flows onto the surface of the stones. Individual stones can look very different depending on how the lava erupts *“Tumbled” or “polished stones” are made by placing rough rocks in a “rock tumbler” to give them a smooth and polished surface.
